as i'm sitting in class trying to tune out the stress-inducing discussion my class is having about licensure and certification (yes, i know its important info, but I will hear it again in every class I have left in the program), I decided it was about time to update the ol' blog. I wanted to post some cottage pictures from our amazing weekend there, but don't have them on my computer yet, so I will leave you with a few random projects & additions to our house...
we definitely love our state. Ross cut this at work out of MDF. The spray paint didnt work on it quite as well as we hoped (brushing paint on MDF is a pain but works MUCH better), but at least we got this awesome outline of michigan on the cardboard!
and...here is a simple but pretty awesome recent project. Ross thought of this a long time ago and I thought it was pretty genius. He stained a piece of wood, attached a bungee cord to it and you get a great custom glasses holder. perfect for our bathroom where between the 2 of us there is usually 4 or more pairs sitting out on the counter.
and last but not least....my beautiful chairs!!!!! Ross took a day off from work about a month ago so we could take a roadtrip to ikea and get these bad boys. I have been dreaming of oversized chairs in front of the fireplace ever since I saw this room with all the random extra furniture back when I first started hanging out at Ross'. Its come a long ways. loving how its coming together.
