over memorial day weekend we decided to give a little bit more attention to our backyard so that we can make it a place to really relax and enjoy this summer. We (and by that I mean Ross and his parents...and staci came over to supervise!) started off the weekend by getting rid of a tree stump that was right next to our patio. I may or may not have left to go wander around target while they were working hard. oops. I made up for it in mowing the lawn this week and helping to put together our new patio set that we picked out this weekend. We also added a few solar powered lights in various places. And then Ross had the genius idea of adding a new light fixture so that we can sit out there at night in the summer. He got incredibly lucky to find there was wiring in place already almost exactly where he needed it. gotta love when that kinda thing happens!
We still have some work to do, like get an umbrella. and maybe take the tags off the table and chairs, haha. But our backyard & patio are quickly becoming a favorite place at our house.
So, now all we need are people to come over and enjoy it with us!!!
next up to work on...painting doors, bathroom decor, the screen porch, and new lights by the garage. feels so great to be working on this stuff again.
