Ross & I got to take not one, but two trips to the east side this past weekend. On Friday we spent the day in Ann Arbor. I had never really spent much time there (except for some trader joes trips) & Ross had only been there on game days when its packed with people. We ate some delicious food, shopped, wandered the campus, and of course, visited The Big House. So glad we share a love for Michigan Football.
Another love we share is for the Tigers & we spent Sunday traveling to the Detroit to watch the Tigers with 20+ of Ross' relatives. We started our day early enough to stop at ikea, trader joes, and five guys before heading to the game to watch the Tigers dominate the Rangers. It was a very hot but excellent time.
We may not be taking a huge, long vacation to a far away place anytime soon, but day trips like this remind me just how lucky we are to live in Michigan and how close we are to such great things to do & places to explore.
