Anniversary Weekend

A year ago right now Ross & I were arriving in San Diego for our honeymoon. Although its FINALLY feeling warmer around here, I really wish that we could time travel back to this week last year and be in San Diego again. 

Last weekend we did get to have a very mini-vacation in Grand Rapids to celebrate our anniversary. We started the weekend with picking up a pie from Grand Traverse Pie Company. We had pie at our wedding from there and decided it would be a lot yummier to get a full pie every year instead of freezing leftover cake. After that, we had a delicious meal at Rose's on Reeds Lake. We stayed overnight at the JW Marriott downtown & repeated THE MOST AMAZING breakfast every at 616 at the Marriott. It was pretty cool to see the river so high from the 12th floor and wander around a little bit. Glad we got to get away and feel like we went on a little vacation, even if it was just overnight and not that far from home. Although, it did feel pretty far away from home with all the detours we had to take around the flooding. 

 (Spring is a season of sunshine??? not this year!) 

yumm. we ate amazing last weekend. still thinking about that breakfast. and the pie. and the salad. yummm.
