eat

yes, as a matter of fact I do go through spurts of updating my blog every other day and then forget about it for weeks on end. haha. I have to admit, I am pretty lazy & horrible when it comes to uploading pictures to my computer. I usually have a camera full of great project pictures that I neglect for weeks and when I finally upload them, I just cannot wait to share them. 

So, here's another project I am excited to share. Ross often gets random letters from work that were parts of signs that they take down or replace or something and he usually salvages them and attempts to use them in some way. The other week, he brought home a stack of letters and we spent lots of times playing around with different words we could make. We came up with many humorous words but settled on "eat" for our kitchen. We sprayed them with a hammered metal spray paint to make them appear more high end metal. Now I just need to not obey that sign every single time i walk past the kitchen. easier said then done. 

(and yes, a kitchen remodel will come eventually someday, but I do have to say I am pretty proud of what we have done with what we have in the meantime)

and just because I cant wait any longer to upload these...here are a few of our finds from the Allegan Antique Market a few Sundays ago...

the milk can was originally red, and ross painted it black. we plan to add our house number to it and it will be on our front porch.

the ladder we found for only $12! we forgot to even haggle the price down because we were so excited. oops. rookie mistake. it definitely completes this little vignette we had going on with the table & frame.
